Confirm the possession date of your new home and determine a moving date.
Start planning early. Weeding out your current possessions. Toss, give away or sell things that you don't want to move. This goes a long way toward uncluttering your life.
Creat a moving plan. Are you going to want to do the move yourself? Will you want a professional mover? Don't wait until the last minute. Compare rates and services and availability.
Prepare a list of all those contacts what will need to be informed that you are moving. (utilities, schools, ect.) You can print out a contact list here.
Oraganize a list on any important items you need to buy for your new house. Stuff like shower curtans and window coverings, etc.
Start packing early. Pick up some boxes at your local super market. If you have anything you don't think you'll be using before moving day, you should box it.
Find an area where any items that you are ready to move can be places. This will make them easier to find, because if your boxes are scattered everywhere you might get agrivated. Also when your looking for something that is packed it won't be as hard to find.
